The Council for Non-Governmental Organisations in Malawi (CONGOMA) is the legally mandated coordinating body for both local and international NGOs operating in Malawi. Established in 1985 and operating under the NGO Act, CONGOMA serves as the primary platform for networking, information sharing, advocacy, and collective action for the NGO sector.
With a membership base of over 1,500 NGOs, CONGOMA continues to lead efforts in unifying the sector, strengthening good governance, and promoting impactful development initiatives across the country.
